We saw #DeadpoolAndWolverine this morning. A few hours later, we rewatched the original X-Men cause we needed to assess if our memories of it were nostalgia. No, it's a very well constructed movie whose biggest flaw is that it isn't comic accurate -- but it has well communicated human stakes, emotional beats, and blends scifi horror smartly into its sense of grounded melodrama.
